Seborrheic Dermatitis Treatment in Ayurveda

About Seborrheic Dermatitis
Seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects areas rich in sebaceous (oil) glands such as the scalp, face, eyebrows, upper chest, and skin folds.
The exact cause is not fully understood, but it is associated with excess oil production, inflammatory response, and overgrowth of Malassezia yeast on the skin.
It has two age peaks — infancy (Cradle Cap) and adulthood.

Seborrheic Dermatitis in Ayurveda
It is correlated to Darunaka or Arumshika in Ayurveda.
The condition arises due to vitiation of Vata and Kapha Doshas, leading to dryness, scaling, itching, and inflammation.
Treatment focuses on Kapha–Vata balancing and detoxification to reduce recurrence.
